Celeron brand said to retire next year

Intel has decided towards retiring its Celeron brand and focusing solely on the Atom and Pentium families for its lower-cost solutions.

Intel still has a few new Celeron releases planned for Q3 but in the coming months it will be gradually cutting down Celeron production, and halt it completely in 2011. From that moment on Intel's consumer CPU line should be more 'clean' and include 'just' Atom, Pentium and Core Series.
