GeForce GTX 460 effect - Radeon HD 5830 slipping to $199

The introduction of Nvidia's first real DirectX 11 mainstream card, the $199 - $239 GeForce GTX 460, seems to have sparked a nice competition-flavored move in the graphics market as AMD's Radeon HD 5830 has began to shed some dollars and can now be found as low as $200.

Initially, the quite criticized (for not delivering a good performance/cost ratio) Radeon HD 5830 was priced at $239 but that was when Nvidia had nothing to compete and now that it does, and adjustment has been made , in the advantage of consumers looking to get a DX11 card.

It's been said that the HD 5830 should cost less than the 768MB GeForce GTX 460 in order for it to be a good alternative but it's likely AMD isn't rushing into a bloody price war just yet.
